For turophobics, it is somewhat whiffy, stinky and niffy loop of underworld. Indeed, even for those without the (undoubtedly sporadic) fright of cheese, the galleys of almost a hundred fromages, located in Lyon and distributed every seven days, is the craze of incubuses. But for some people who just fell in love with Roqueforts and cheddars would glorifying-ly enjoy this list of cheese-based holes-in-the-wall from coast to coast.

College Stereotypes Unmasked

Looking for a life partner is not the same as wanting to buy essay that you will get it immediately once you want it. Choosing the one person you're gonna spend your life with should be a balance between what you feel and what your mind tells. The reason for this is that there are times that we are too blinded by our emotions that we do not think ahead of the consequences.

A woman tends to always go back to her relationship history and make comparisons among her past and present commitments.

And everything all comes down to their love lives in college.  This is the time when women are in the stage that they are trusting yet doubtful at the same time. Comparisons are inevitable and most of the female population hang on to the stereotypes in the university.

The Frat guy – he is that one guy that attracts the rebellious girls because of his “influence” around the campus.

The Hippie / Neo guy – he is the guy is almost always appears paranoid and perceives everyone else at the same field.

The party guy – he is the one always present at parties and distributing beer and whom every girl would like to flirt out with.

The guy who never sleeps
– well, at least he looks the part. Girls would love to give this guy a calming tea or something to make him go to deep REM.

6 Longest Running TV Series filmed in Classroom

I’m hooked on my couch, smitten on a teeny-bopper series, keen on a usual laid-back mode. Now, I’m in a daze, in a world of my own, while thinking about the things that never-happened-in-my-life like smooching with my ultimate crush, joining in inter-school cheering competition and memorable class lectures in the university. I don’t know why I’m wasting my time building castles in the air! Pfffts! At this moment, I’m musing on the longest running TV series that were videoed in lecture halls and corridors.

As a result of “tenacious” research for I was still on my “idle” setting. I listed below six successful TV series that I will surely make time to wander my mind around and to learn more about different conflicts in school.

What A Meditation Program Can Do to Students

Students, no matter what grade they are in, be it in college or in preschool, experience stress towards studying or at home, or worse at both.  That is why schools are adapting mediation programs to help students calm down and de-stress.  Actress Goldie Hawn’s MindUP program, focuses on teaching meditation that helps both teachers and students the art of meditation which is useful in doing better in school.

A few of the following are some of the benefits of having a meditation program in school:

Calms them down
Being in a quiet room, meditating, with no chaos or noise in sight and in hearing, helps students relax without actually sleeping in school.  Make sure the room is meditation friendly – you have the candles, the immediate vicinity is away from places that students hangout such as the cafeteria and library, and that you have a meditation guru to guide the students in basic meditation.  You don’t teach yoga, just a few, basic meditation exercises.

Gives them structure
Having a consistent meditation program gives students a feeling of stability because they know that they will do something on a daily basis.  First thing is to make the meditation program voluntary, don’t impose everyone to join in.  It will eventually roll over and in no time, every student will participate because they see that everyone else is doing it – talk about the bandwagon effect in it’s full positive mode.

Improves Emotional Intelligence
With meditation, students can achieve a sense of calmness combined with resiliency and a positive attitude – all of which make up a good level of emotional intelligence.  And with this they can focus better and comprehend lessons in a more stress-free way.  They will end up not hating to be in school or despise studying.

Improving Your Writing Skills Without Breaking the Bank

Writers are born, but like diamonds, they should be harnessed in order to become priceless.  That is why you need to always improve your writing skills especially when you are in school where there is regular flow of writing assignments such as research papers, reviews, and others.

Those who have money to spend enrol in writing courses in order to perfect their craft.  However, in this current economic climate, burning Benjamins on this endeavour is riskier than before.  You don’t know if you can immediately get back the investment you put into a writing course because hiring is very low.

For those of us who can’t afford to break the bank, so to speak, here are a few ways to improve our writing skills:

Be a voracious reader of intellectually-stimulating articles.  Operative words here are voracious and intellectually-stimulating.  Feast your eyes on content that are well-written, well-observed, and sharp. This way, you will unknowingly absorb good writing practices.

Maximize writing tips posted online.  The internet is full of tips, steps, and advices about everything about writing.  There is no shortage of information about how to become a better writer.

Write, write, write.  Practice makes perfect truly has a basis and reaps results.  You cannot expect yourself to be the skilled writer you want to be if you only write for only once a month, then you’ll always be a mediocre writer.

Blended Learning: The New Combo in K-12 Education

Blended learning in educational research denotes to a collaboration of diverse learning approaches. It associates traditional classroom techniques with cyber-mediated activities. This combined learning technique generates more cohesive method for both teachers and students. In earlier times, computer-based materials take part in a supporting role to physical or one-on-one instruction. Through new learning technique, online technology will be more imperative.

Some of the activities may be arranged around access to online web resources and interaction through social media such as signing up on online forums to intermingle with other distance learners in other learning environments.

It depends on the involved tutors and students on determining various approaches and learning forms. It also refers as the hybrid learning technique or a mixed mode of education.

Album of the Month: Back to School (Mini Maggit) by Deftones

I'm thinking of things that I must do before attending classes this school term. I just newly invested some cardigans, textbooks, multivitamins and other essentials that I need for this winter season at the college university. While preparing stuff for the learning institute, I was like tuning-in on Deftones' alternative-rap metal album Back to School (Mini Maggit). This is the first time that I hobble on their album. But it was actually introduced to me by my religion teacher in the conservatory, their hit singles were quite catchy and yes, I like it!

And whilst I'm searching on their music video on YouTube, I was fastened by one of the commenters named PrimalFactory777 on the video hosting service.

"This song is magic. I was the total opposite at the time. I was the bully, the big 6"3 guy who pushes around "nerds" and "losers". Now I realize how much of a failure I was back then and the way Iused to see the world was biased and wrong. This song definitely means a lot to me in a different way that it means to you.
It probably reminds you how hard I was. For me too. But we have different stories about the same era, the same situation. I love this song and Deftones as well.
I am sorry."

I'm just quite different from PrimalFactory777; I was belittled, demeaned and humiliated when I was in High School. Perhaps, I'm really kind to the fellow students who mortified me in front of many people. Constant fatigue, sleeplessness, and high level of anxiety are some of causes that injure my health, and this painful reminiscences is making me ill right now.

So, going back to the album, I find their other tracks really good such as the "Nosebleed," "Teething," and "Feiticeira." Of course, I will recommend the band on my other cliques. :) My entry is getting longer now…. Ciao!

First College Day High

As school is about to start in a few days, incoming college students are in rushing and doing their last minute preparations - moving to the dorm, saying goodbye to their room and pets and yes, even their tutor who weathered with them through high school, packing and unpacking their stuff, checking out their future college's website,  and of course, preparing their bodies and minds for a new phase in their young lives.  For some, college has started and the reactions are all but funny. This girl seemed to have really adapted a positive attitude- really positive that it looks a little creepy.

Adorkable Pre-school ID Photo

Our parents are the first ones to get excited and terrified during our very first day in school. This boy's mom was so anxious-excited that she took the time and money and tagged her son along to the barber shop and have his son that might cause him to be the subject of teasing at school. I guess she is just maximizing the phase where her child adores her unconditionally. The child is not the only who needs tutoring in the future, but his mom as well, that is on how to not make your son look like a dork in school.

Teachers Immortalized in Movies During the 90's

Educators reap new understanding and ideas into young’s mind every single day. It’s a profession that gets a lot of chances to motivate people in various ways that somehow will raise spirits on students to gain a lasting love of learning. Itemized below are four movies about teachers that encourage us and make us feel gratified to be in the learning ground of education where we are nurtured intellectually.

Mr. Bill Rago, Renaissance Man (1994)
Danny Devito's portrayal as a teacher Bill Rago is both amusing and brilliant. And the impression to be involved in a light-hearted comedy truly has an insightful implication. His character verifies that legendary playwright William Shakespeare still has much more to edify students. Unpredictably well-ordered sequence and slightly clichéd at times, the hilarious flick in the end instills essential life learning about commitment and personality.

Ms. LouAnne "White Bread" Johnson, Dangerous Minds (1995)
Believing on a retired US marine LouAnne Johnson portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer is excellent. Coaching English in a sub-urban institution, she possibly reaches the pig-headed delinquent students by teaching with gentle and sympathetic.  The movie imparts viewers about the significance of making choices and not permitting situations to dictate our life.

Mr. Glenn Holland, Mr. Holland's Opus (1995)
Richard Dreyfuss as Glenn Holland in Mr. Holland’s Opus is magnificent as an instrumentalist and composer who must work as a high school educator to support his family. This notable motion picture gives all instructors courage that they truthfully have an impact on their pupils. On the latter part of the story, he starts to question his worth until his apprentices assemble a parting festivity to celebrate his importance as a great teacher.

Ms. Roberta Guaspari, Music of the Heart (1999)
A heart-warming flick based on real account of a single-mother who moves to Harlem and turned to be a violin trainer while working amidst cultural and other racial obstructions, Roberta Guaspari depicted by Award-winning actress Meryl Streep, produces a much-admired music program in an region where many people would think that it was not imaginably possible.
